Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The RGP has today announced that 12-year-old Gibraltarian boy, Francis Alman has been missing since yesterday evening. Francis is approximately 1 metre 46 in height, of a thin build and with brown eyes and short, brown hair. He was last seen at the frontier in La Linea at around 6pm yesterday evening, wearing a yellow hooded jumper emblazoned with a large number 5 on the front, blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the sides and white trainers.
As part of the RGP’s leading initiative to educate youngsters on Drugs and their negative effects, a series of drug awareness addresses have been given at local Youth Clubs, by officers of the Drug Squad.
Two British residents of La Linea and Gibraltar were arrested and charged yesterday for burglary. 27 year old Steven Noakes and Paul Martin were arrested by RGP Area Response Team Officers shortly after a burglary occurred at an establishment in Ocean Village.
As works on the Sunborn project advance, in preparation of the ship’s arrival, in less than 3 weeks time, the five star yacht hotel is looking to recruit up to 200 individuals to fill permanent roles on the ship.
