Apr 17 Funeral Arrangements for the late Charles Bruzon

Charles Bruzon Funeral ArrangementsThe general public is advised of the funeral arrangements for the late Charles Bruzon, which takes place tomorrow, Thursday 18 April.

The hearse carrying his coffin will depart the Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned at 1540, make its way along Line Wall Road and turn into John Mackintosh Square. It will stop briefly at 1545 at the City Hall where Minister Bruzon headed the Ministry of Housing. Staff there will pay their respects and follow the hearse as it makes its way slowly round the square to arrive in front of Parliament Building at 1550. The family of the late Minister will meet and follow the hearse, as will the Chief Minister and Mrs Picardo, the Speaker and Mrs Canepa and the Deputy Chief Minister and Mrs Garcia.

Apr 17 Thatcher Funeral Update

Margaret Thatcher FuneralIn a slight haze of drizzle, small crowds began to line The Strand this morning in anticipation of Baroness Thatcher's funeral procession. The event, which ran from Westminster Palace to St. Paul's Cathedral, required a massive 6000 extra police officers on duty. Speaking to one Police Constable, she noted that many were patrolling the event voluntarily, with officers from across the Metropolitan Police service involved.

APR 16 Fraud Charges Update - Warrender

Fraud Charges GibraltarFurther to the arrest and charge of a 45 year-old woman on suspicion of Fraud, officers of the Serious Crime Unit investigation, have late on Tuesday 16th April 2013, arrested 48 year-old Paul Andrew Warrender, a British National and self employed investment manager, on suspicion of Fraud.

Together with the 45 year-old woman, Warrender is alleged to have falsely represented that they were entitled to rent out a property. It is alleged that rent payments totalling £4,100 have been obtained fraudulently.
