European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The RGP has warned members of the public of a lottery scam that involves letters being sent to locals, from a company named Euro-Finance, informing the addressee that they have won £800,000. The letter urges addressees to forward personal details to the company on the premise that they are necessary to process the lottery win.
Samantha Sacramento, Minister for Equality has this week met with representatives of Unite Women’s Committee. The Union has been undergoing a re-structure in this respect and the parties waited until this was complete before having their first formal meeting. What was intended to be an introductory meeting developed into an in-depth exchange of ideas, with discussions highlighting common concerns and objectives in the area of equality. The Minister and representatives of the Union are enthusiastic about working collectively towards common goals and have agreed to have regular quarterly meetings.
This afternoon, Westside Sixth form student, Sophia Lombard was awarded a certificate from examining board EDEXCEL for achieving the highest grade in Europe for her ICT GCSE.
Speaking to YGTV, Sofia noted that she studied for her ICT exam in the same way that she studied for her other subjects. She added that she did find the subject easier than others and was hoping to pursue Computer Science at University in two years.
