Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
This year's Clean Up The World events will see 30 teams and 500+ volunteers targeting sites throughout Gibraltar. The ESG says the prospect of a further potential oil spill has led to a decision to postpone the Rosia Dive clean up for now and reschedule for a few weeks time.
The Port Authority and the Government have agreed to implement a plan to secure the OS 35 in place by lowering part of the vessel so it rests on the seabed ahead of the unsettled weather expected this weekend.
