The Government says it notes the “positive statements” by the President of the Junta de Andalucia on cooperation. The President made the comments in the context of the political changes happening in the United Kingdom. The Government says it welcomes “positive mutual cooperation” with Spain and with the region of Andalucía next door, “with no strings attached.”
GSD: No Arrangements Made for Opposition to Meet European Scrutiny Committee
The GSD has expressed surprise at the fact that “arrangements were not made” for the European Scrutiny Committee to meet and exchange views with the official Opposition. The party says it was not even aware of the visit of the UK MPs until it learnt of the reason for the adjournment of the committee stage reading of the Appropriation Bill on Tuesday.
Two Arrested for Arson Following Vehicle Fire
Two local teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of Arson in relation to a vehicle that was found on fire in Devil’s Tower Car Park early last Tuesday morning.
