Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Together Gibraltar says that the redeployment of Dr. Cassaglia as Medical Director sends “the message that, as long as these behaviours are sporadic and not ‘persistent’, abusive practices in the workplace are, to an extent and in certain forms, tolerable.”
The Government has been informed that the drivers of Gibraltar registered commercial vehicles operating in Spain have been given notice that they will need a permit, or an employment contract in Spain, to continue doing so after 1 March 2022. This has come about as a consequence of Gibraltar’s departure from the European Union and the end of the transition period.
