Aug 24 - HM Customs Assists In Major Joint International Anti-Drug Operation
HM Customs, together with the RGP, Spanish Guardia Civil, Polish Border Guard, Italian Guardia di Finanza and the UK National Crime Agency have assisted in the arrest of an international drug smuggling gang. This resulted in the seizure of 3,300kg of cannabis resin with a street value of a £15.5 million being seized onboard a vessel off the Italian coast.

The Gibraltar Security Council, comprising His Excellency the Governor, the Chief Minister, Commissioner of Police, and Commander British Forces, met this morning to review a range of security matters in Gibraltar. Such meetings take place regularly and enable members of the GSC to take collective stock of local and regional developments.
