Feb 16 - GSD Reacts To “Self-Congratulatory” Education Motion

The GSD has said that, in the context that approximately 80% of teachers think there has been insufficient consultation on the plans for new schools and the refurbishment of existing schools, it is “astonishing for the Minister for Education to present a self-congratulatory and self-serving Motion to Parliament seeking to commend Government for the consultation process it is running.”

Feb 15 - GSD Calls For Better Environmental Management By Gibdock

The GSD has today called on Government to press Gibdock into improving its overall environmental practices after the party was approached by “many concerned residents of the area.” In particular, the party is calling on Gibdock to ensure that vessels undergoing works have the facility to link to an onshore power supply rather than run their diesel engines continuously.

Feb 15 - Poetry Slam

A Poetry Slam has been announced by the Gibraltar Cultural Services as part of its cultural development programme. The Poetry Slam will be held at Central Hall on Saturday 3rd of March offering workshops lead by local poet Jonathan Teuma and Tanya Santini for different age groups.
