Jul 31 - Spain Clamps Down on Drinking Laws – Drunken Pedestrians to Receive Fines

spanish flagSpain has this week clamped down heavily on its zero tolerance approach to drink driving. The Olive Press notes that fines for any individual found driving under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs have risen to €1,000. Under-Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Luis Aguilera has stated that the proposal will be tabled before the Cabinet in the next few weeks.
